The history of Castlebar is the subject of a new ten-episode podcast.
Following on from the publication of The History of Castlebar by Mayo Books Press last October, the book’s authors Noel Campbell and John Healy are hosting a new podcast which delves further into the findings of their research.
Each half-hour episode will be a mix of discussion between both authors on a particular aspect of Castlebar’s history and will include listener engagement through invited questions and comments.
David Brennan of Mayo Books Press says that since The Historyof Castlebar launch as part of the Wild Atlantic Words literary festival six months ago, interest in John and Noel’s book in our shops on Castle Street and Main Street and on mayobooks.ie has been phenomenal. There is an appetite for well-researched local history and John and Noel have provided that. This podcast will bring their work to a wider online audience.”
The first episode Crime & Policing is available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and other major podcast platforms with new episodes being released weekly on Thursdays.
