Details

Mayo Deputy Alan Dillon has confirmed that approval has been given for an extension to Ballintubber National School, Castlebar.

This comes as part of the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

A new special education classroom is planned in the extension to the National School.

Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon says this news will help to support individual requirements of students with additional needs.

A design team will be appointed before architectural detailed design processes can begin. The project will then go to tender before they commence construction.

All going to plan, Deputy Dillon says this development could come in 2024.
