A public meeting will be held in Castlebar this week in the hope of establishing an All-Irish Secondary school in the town.
3 years ago, Emer Mayock and Frainc O Clochartiagh launched a campaign to establish such a school in Castlebar to give those students who finish their primary education in gaelscoils around the county an opportunity to continue their second level education as gaeilge.
The campaign has gained support from a number of national organisations such as Conradh na Gaeilge, Foras na Gaeilge and Gaeloideachas and they are now calling for the support of people in the local area.
The public meeting will take place this Wednesday the 22nd of February in the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar at 7 and is open to everyone.
Emer Mayock and Frainc O Clochartiagh spoke on the Tommy Marren show this morning and gave more details about the campaign and how soon they believe the project could be completed....
