More Irish Rail services are required between Mayo and Dublin to boost the local economy.
That's according to Fine Gael TD Michael Ring, who says more frequent trains from the capital would benefit tourism and businesses.
Concerns have been raised about accessing the evening train from Heuston at its current time.
Deputy Ring says more people are now using public transport.
