A 19 year old who tragically lost his life at Menlo Pier in Galway 'always had a smile on his face', mourners at his funeral have heard.

Christopher Stokes died alongside his friend 16 year old John Keenan Sammon and 17 year old Wojciech Panek when their car entered the water in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A phone and hair gel were among the gifts presented to the alter today, to remember Christopher’s love for taking photos and his great sense of style.

Christopher’s brother, Michael Stokes, said he had always had positive outlook on life.
