Christopher Stokes was a shy young man with many friends who will be sadly missed.

The 19 year old amateur boxer is being laid to rest in Galway after losing his life in the pier tragedy in the city last weekend.

Two of his friends, 16 year old John Keanan Sammon and 17 year old Wojcieck Panek, were also killed.

Requiem Mass (12 noon) at the Church of the Resurrection, Ballinfoyle will be followed by his funeral at Rahoon Cemetery.
