
Ballyglass RNLI responded to an incident on a fishing vessel overnight with an injured fisherman on board.
The lifeboat, under the command of Francie Gibbons with a full crew, made their way to 2.5miles north west of Ballyglass lighthouse at around half 11 to the fishing vessel.
The casualty was transferred to the lifeboat at 20 past 12 last night, was assessed with casualty care, and the lifeboat brought the causality back to Ballyglass where an ambulance was waiting.
The lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service again at 5 past 1.
Ballyglass RNLI wish the casualty a speedy recovery, and extend thanks to Ballyglass Coast Guard Unit for their assistance.
