Details

Over a million euro has been allocated to Mayo road repairs and improvement works under the Local Improvement Scheme.

That's according to Mayo Deputy Micheal Ring.

The Fine Gael TD has welcomed almost €955,000 for roads in the county while €50,000 has been specifically ring fenced for offshore island roads.

He says it's now up to Mayo County Council as to how the monies will be allocated.
