
It’s unacceptable that patients at Portiuncla University Hospital have been left in the dark as to why they are on a waiting list for a scan that is not accessible in the hospital.
That’s according to Independent TD Denis Naughten, who says the DEXA scanner has been out of operation for over two years, despite the fact patients have not been removed from the waiting list.
Over 600 patients have been waiting for scans at the hospital for more than 18 months.
