A solution to the Enniscrone/Inishcrone naming debacle is expected later this month.
That's according to Minister Frank Feighan who says meetings will take place on the third week of April between the Department and the legal team.
Most residents and visitors know the Co Sligo town as Enniscrone, but official Ireland calls it Inishcrone, the name on the post office, the Garda station, the local authority offices and all official signage and signposts.
The school however uses Enniscrone as do virtually all businesses in the area.
Minister Feighan says he is confident that this saga can once and for all come to a conclusion from a legal standing in a few weeks time.
