Gardaí seized approximately €16,000 worth of cannabis herb during a search operation in Achill on Good Friday.
As part of an investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Mayo Division, Gardaí executed a search under warrant at a residence in Achill.
Cannabis plants and cannabis herb with a combined estimated street value of €13,000 were seized.
The drugs will be sent for analysis.
One man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and taken to Castlebar Garda Station, where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and later released without charge.
