St. Brendan's College Belmullet has been approved a 14 room extension.

This news has been confirmed to Midwest by Mayo Fianna Fail Deputy Dara Calleary who says it's been a very difficult few months for the Erris community but this investment will have a huge knock-on effect for the entire area.

The works will offer seven new classrooms and associated facilities.  In particular, funding is approved for seven general classrooms, four SET rooms; two SEN classroom, and one textiles room.
