
A post mortem examination is due to take place on the body of a man discovered in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim this morning.
The body of the man, believed to be in his 20s, was discovered at the Costello Memorial Chapel in the town at about 8.30am.
It's understood forced entry was required to gain access to the body, which may have been in the chapel for more than 24 hours.
The man's body was removed to Sligo University Hospital, where the results of a post-mortem examination will determine the direction of the Garda investigation.
