The Taoiseach says the prospects are good for Irish people getting access to E3 visas to the United States.
The issue was part of the discussions between Micheál Martin and US President Joe Biden yesterday with the two leaders meeting for an hour and 20 minutes.
The E3 document is a two-year working visa, currently only open to Australian citizens
The two leaders discussed the issue of immigration reform that could help the estimated 30 to 50 thousand undocumented Irish in the States.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin says while the issue has been discussed for years, there is hope of movement from the new administration.
