
A virtual talk on the life of Fr Michael O'Flanagan will form part of a special St Patrick's Day event, highlighting tourism in West Roscommon.
Galway West TD Eamon O'Cuiv - grandson of former President & Taoiseach Eamon de Valera - will speak at the event and reflect on the life and legacy of Fr O'Flanagan, a native of Cloonfower, Castlerea who was a scholar, inventor and republican leader.
The event will also showcase the amenities along the Suck Valley Way, which forms part of the Beara Breffni Way - Ireland's longest hiking trail from Cork to Leitrim.
The talk will be screened live on the Suck Valley Way Facebook page from 7pm Wednesday evening- St Patrick's Day.
Gareth Scahill is treasurer of the Suck Valley Way, and told Midwest Radio that they're delighted to have Deputy O'Cuiv on board to showcase the trail and its amenities.....
