543 new cases of covid 19 have been confirmed and 16 more patients have died.
235 new infections are in Dublin, with 50 in Kildare, 39 in Donegal, 31 in Meath and 28 in Galway - the rest are spread across 20 other counties.
Across the region there are 12 new cases in Mayo, 11 in Roscommon 5 in Sligo and less than 5 in Leitrim.
The youngest person who died was 59 and the oldest was 96.
The country's 14 day incidence rate is 155.3 per 100 thousand people and 340 people are in hospital with the virus.
