A safety scheme to deal with a notorious accident black spot in Ballina has been brought forward.
The blind hill on Church Road has been described as one of the most dangerous areas in the town by local councillor John O’Hara.
The Fine Gael councillor claims that there is at least one accident along the stretch of road every week.
The proposed safety scheme would involve cutting back the corner of the road and removing the hill.
Cllr O’Hara told Midwest News he’s hopeful there will be no objector to the scheme on this occasion.
