There are 22 patients with the virus being treated at Mayo University Hospital, the fourth highest total nationwide.
Elsewhere across the region, there are six people being treated for the virus at Galway University Hospital- up one and two at Sligo Hospital.
Overnight in ICU, there were 87 people with the disease in ICU.
There are four patients with the virus on critical care beds in Galway and three in Sligo.
