A pedestrian has died following a road collision in Castlebar last night.
The collision occurred on Humbert Way shortly before midnight.
The pedestrian - a man in his 40's - was treated at the scene before being brought to Mayo University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The road is currently closed for forensic investigation, and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them in Castlebar at 094 - 90 38200.
They're also appealing for any drivers with dash-cam footage who were in the area between 11.20 and 12.20 last night to make the footage available to Gardai.
