
A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Galway and six other coastal counties across the south and west of the country.
The warning comes into effect tomorrow at 12 noon and is set to last until 6 o’clock on Thursday morning.
Met Éireann says that southwest to westerly winds will reach mean wind speeds of 50 to 65 km/h, with gusts ranging from 80 to 110km/h, higher in exposed locations.
The other counties included in the alert are Clare, Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Wexford.
