Gardaí are currently attending the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Co. Roscommon.

The crash occurred on the N5 near Strokestown at 9:38am this morning.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place while emergency services attend the scene.

Midwest News understands that the incident occurred on the Tulsk side of the town and traffic is quite slow both ways on approach.
