Details

Gardaí seized €8,300 euro worth of drugs and a firearm following searches in Sligo Town yesterday morning.

The Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a number of searches at residential properties in Cranmore and seized €5,800 worth of cocaine, €1,900 worth of cannabis and €600 worth of Xanax tablets (pending analysis).

A firearm was also seized during a search of wooded area in the town.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
