Details

It is a very wet start in most areas across the region this morning, with windy conditions for road users to contend with too.

A Status Yellow Rainfall Warning remains in place for Connaught counties until 9pm tonight.

Gardai across the region are warning of extensive surface water on roads and are advising motorists to slow down and take due caution with spot flooding in places.

As of yet this morning there have been no reports of any roads impassable in the region, but all road users are advised to take care with flooding and wind-blown debris possible.
