
Details have been announced today of a new scheme to support tourism businesses impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic which were not eligible for the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme or other grant schemes.
2020 saw thousands of jobs being lost across Ireland's tourism sector, which the sector's revenue fell by €6 billion euro.
The €55 million euro Tourism Business Continuity Scheme was launched today by Fáilte Ireland, and applications will open on 11th February, with grants ranging from €3,750 up to €200,000 available for businesses such as outdoor activity providers - this includes bike tours, surf schools, kayaking tours, tourist boat tour operators, walking tours etc - as well as visitor attractions not eligible for the CRSS, caravan and camping providers and Cruise Hire companies who meet the eligibility criteria.
