Mayo has the sixth highest number of Covid 19 related deaths nationally since the pandemic began.
According to figures released by the Central Statistics Office, 80 people in Mayo have died as a result of the virus-related illness since the outbreak last February.
The figure for Dublin is 1,026, Kildare 178, Cork 144, Limerick 84, Donegal 82, followed by county Mayo deaths at 80.
The rate of virus related deaths in county Mayo is the highest in Connaught with Galway recording 41, Roscommon 31, Sligo 7 and Leitrim 5.
The figures include all deaths up to and including January 15th of this year (2021).
