Gardai across the region are advising road users to take due caution this morning as there is a lot of surface water on the roads, with some spot flooding.
However, as yet, there are no reports of any roads impassable due to flooding.
There is a Met Éireann Status Yellow Rainfall Warning in place for the counties of Connaught, Longford, Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Cavan and Monaghan until 9pm this evening.
The advice is to slow down on wet roads and only drive through standing water if you’re sure it’s not too deep for your vehicle.
