Ballina’s Belleek Woods has had a pre-Christmas makeover, with a particular focus on the Fairy Trail, one of the county’s most popular destinations for families.
Ahead of a Christmas that will be like no other, Ballina’s fairies, with support from Ballina Men’s Shed and Ballina Community Clean Up Group, have decked their fairy trail with colour, sparkle and festive cheer, turning the trail into a magical winter fairy wonderland.
St Mary’s College Transition Year and Moyne College Art students have also been involved in the transformation, working with Cynthia Clampett and the Belleek Enhancement Committee. This year the volunteers remember fondly, the late Cyril Collins, for all his work in Belleek Woods over the years.
Everyone is encouraged to visit Belleek Woods in their own time over the Christmas period and enjoy the magic of the Christmas fairy trail for themselves.
