Covid-19 figures are continuing to fall across Connacht.

Nationally, 2 further deaths were reported yesterday evening from the virus, with 542 confirmed cases.

This includes 8 new cases in Sligo, 7 in Galway, 5 in Mayo and less than 5 in both Roscommon and Leitrim. This followed 26 new cases in Mayo reported on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

The national 14-day incidence rate is now 175 per 100,000 people, and Sligo is the only county in Connacht with a higher than average rate, at 186 per 100,000 population.

Mayo's 14 day rate is now at 173 - just below the national average.
