Emergency services rescued two hikers in separate incidents on Friday afternoon.
MMRT were tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist the coastguard helicopter Rescue 118 with the rescue of an injured hiker on the ramp section of the Mweelrea mountain at 1332hrs.
The full team were tasked along with Cleggan Coast Guard and Westport Coast Guard to assist.
While en route to Mweelrea, the team received a second tasking from National Ambulance Service at 1405hrs, to assist another casualty who had sustained a lower leg injury on Croagh Patrick.
As R118 and the local land based units were on scene at Mweelrea and able to airlift the casualty direct to hospital, MMRT were redirected to Croagh Patrick.
Their first response team located the casualty near the top of the sheep track on the northern side of the mountain and provided first aid treatment and a stretcher party was also tasked to the location.
The casualty was stretchered down the mountain to the NAS ambulance and transported to Mayo University Hospital for further treatment.
