Details

E3.2m in funding has been allocated to Mayo County Council to improve things like cycleways and footpaths.

 

Under the Government initiative 22 councils will receive E33m for active travel projects and E14m for climate change adaptation steps.

 

The Active Travel and Climate Adaptation Measures were announced by the Department of Transport Minister of State, Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton.

 

Mayo Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon has welcomed the funding for Mayo County Council saying it will create jobs locally.
