
The Tuam to Headford road has reopened at Caherlistrane, following a fatal road collision yesterday evening in which a young woman died.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at about 6.45 yesterday evening, when the car left the road and crashed into a concrete post in Caherlistrane.
The 26-year old woman who died was a back-seat passenger in the car.
The driver and front-seat passenger, both male and aged 32 and 28 years, were taken to hospital in Galway for treatment for their injuries.
Tuam Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
