Details

The Suck Valley Way tour due to visit Errit Lodge and the Dermot Earley Monument today has been postponed.

The event was due to arrive at Errit Lodge at 12:45 before proceeding to the Monument and Michael O Flanagan's House to plant a tree in memory of Patriot Fr Michael O Flanagan.

Fianna Fail Galway West TD Eamon O Cuiv was invited as the guest of honour but the event has been postponed until further notice.

Independent Councillor Anthony Waldron is the Chairman of the Suck Valley Way and he says the event can highlight the tourism potential in the area.

He told Midwest News that the event will take place once the public health advice allows it.
