An Post says last night's severe weather conditions have had some impact on mail and post office services, particularly in the West and southwest of the country.
An Post says they were unable to open 28 local post offices this morning - mostly due to power failures.
Those offices have been opening during the course of the day as power and other services are restored.
An Post says they will be working through the night tonight to ensure mail services resume as quickly as possible.
