The Government needs to be up front with students and parents in relation to Leaving Cert grades.
That's according to Mayo TD Rose Conway-Walsh, the Sinn Fein spokesperson on Higher Education.
She's calling on the Education Minister Norma Foley to urgently publish the grading model used for calculated grades, after hearing disturbing reports about A Level results in the North, and concerns over the standardised system used in Scotland.
Deputy Conway-Walsh says that, just weeks away from the Leaving Cert results being issued here, we still don't have clarity on how students will be graded, and she says students need a guarantee from the Minister that grades won't be based on where they went to school.
