The advice not to swim notice placed on Enniscrone Pier and beach near the pier last Monday has today been lifted.
Sligo County Council was informed of an infrastructure malfunction which could have impacted the water quality near the pier at Enniscrone.
As a precaution in order to protect bathers’ health and after consultation with the HSE, Sligo County Council erected Advice not to Swim Notices.
A follow up sample was taken on Thursday, results of the sample detail good water quality and following consultation with the HSE the advice notice has been lifted.
Sligo County Council appreciates the cooperation of the general public in complying with the conditions of the Advice Notice.
