An easing of the Covid-19 travel limits, and special provisions for childcare and special needs education are among the measures a new government need to target, according to the Fianna Fáil leader.
In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Micheál Martin says a deal with Fine Gael and the Greens can be agreed this week.
He says he's also confident of getting sign-off from his own party on any agreement.
Mr Martin says the first task of a new government will then be to accelerate the roadmap, given the low rates of community transmission and advances in our testing system.
