Details

A man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a suspected cannabis growhouse in Ballina.

The accused was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court next Friday.

The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested yesterday following a search operation which resulted in the seizure of cannabis plants valued at €265,000 at a house in Attymass.

Gardaí seized approximately €333,000 worth of drugs as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Mayo Garda Division.
