The Saolta Hospital Group, which runs public hospitals across the West including Mayo University Hospital, Galway University Hospital, Roscommon and Sligo University Hospitals- says it's taking a number of measures to prepare for increasing numbers of patients being admitted with Covid-19.
The measures include increasing the number of free beds, providing additional Intensive Care beds and training and up-skilling staff.
Ann Cosgrove, Chief Operating Officer with the Saolta Hospital Group, told Midwest News today how they are prepared for an upsurge in coronavirus incidents.
