12 social enterprise groups in Co Mayo are to share funding totalling €98,000 allocated under the Small Capital Grants scheme.
The scheme is funded under the Dormant Accounts Fund, and €1 million was allocated in December to groups nationally.
The Minister for Rural & Community Development Michael Ring says the scheme was heavily over-subscribed, so he's now allocating a further €1 million in small capital grants to another 107 social enterprises across the country, including 12 in Mayo.
