Asylum seekers in Ballinamore in Co. Leitrim are being welcomed by a new local group.

 

'Ballinamore Says Welcome' was set up last month, following protests that 130 people would be housed in a Direct Provision Centre in the town.

 

Yesterday it was confirmed that twenty-seven asylum seekers will move into the Rock Quarter Apartments in Ballinamore before Christmas.
