A number of people were taken by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital today following a six-vehicle collision near Balla.
The N60 Castlebar to Balla was closed to traffic earlier this afternoon following the multi-vehicle collision but has since reopened.
The collision occurred 2km from Balla on the Castlebar side at around 1.30pm.
Emergency services attended the scene.
A number of people were taken to hospital by ambulance but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
