The Derriunumera recycling centre outside Castlebar has reopened to the public, after a technical issue closed the facility this morning.

The recycling centre, operated by Mayo County Council, closed for a time while the issue was resolved.

A council spokesperson told Midwest News that the facility reopened before 11.30 this morning, however the phone lines are down.
