Details

A former Galway Senator is to contest the upcoming European elections in the Midlands North West constituency.

Fidelma Healy Eames was a Senator between 2007 and 2016 but failed to get elected to the Dail on a number of occasions.

She announced in 2016 that she would not be seeking re-election to the Seanad.

She will now return to politics by contesting next month’s European elections.
