
Mayo County Council has issued a comprehensive price list for use of the new 11 million euro Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar, which is open to the public today.
The complex comprises an eight-lane competitive swimming pool, toddler learning pool, gym and aerobics studios, steam room, sauna and general purpose rooms.
The local authority is offering a first month membership for 40 euro, where swimmers can purchase a book of 10 multi-swim and spa use tickets for €70, which works out at €7 per public session.
Other 'pay as you go options' are: Single (swimming pool, heath spa and gym) €10, Child (under-16, swimming pool use only) €5; Over-55s, jobseekers and students (swimming pool, health spa and gym) €7.50; and Family (2 adults and two children, swimming pool use only for Under-16s and swimming pool, health spa and gym for adults) €20. Toddlers under three are free.
There is a range of memberships for three months, six months and 12 months.
A single membership, which includes pool, spa and gym as well as yoga and pilates, is €490 for 12 months.
The opening hours are 6.30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Monday to Friday), 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sunday). The telephone number is (094) 9250149.
