Sunday week, November 18th, is a Science Open Day at the GMIT, Castlebar campus. 

It’s the highlight of Science Week that will run from Sunday to Sunday -Nov 11th to 18th and is organised annually by Mayo county council, and all events are free.

Westport Fine Gael councillor Tereasa McGuire, a principal herself, is encouraging parents to bring their children to the science open day in GMIT.

She told Midwest News it’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to be creative and to enjoy and learning through practical experiences.
