Gardai in Sligo are investigating a break in to The Star of the Sea Church in Rathlee yesterday.

A chalice and cash was taken in the incident.

Gardai say the theft occurred between 1am and 4am (Sunday).

The thieves gained entry by forcing a rear door of the church.
