An online fundraising campaign to fly a critically-injured Ballina man home from Budapest has now raised over €35,000 euro.
Michael Cuffe was seriously injured on Friday 13th April when he was hit by a bus while on a weekend visit to Budapest.
Michael suffered a number of injuries, and can only be transported back to Ireland by air ambulance.
His sister Naomi set up a GoFundMe page last week with the aim of raising €25,000 towards the cost flying Michael back to Ireland for further hospital treatment.
To date, over €35,000 has been pledged by 753 people.
