A fire which broke out on the grounds of the Convent in Westport was brought under control last night.
The fire was described as a "minor incident" by Gardai and was quickly extinguished.
The main building was not affected, it has been reported that it was a gazebo on the grounds of the convent that went up in flames. The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
