The R331 Claremorris Road out of Ballinrobe is closed to traffic at present following a road collision this afternoon.
Midwest News understands that a wheel came off a slurry tanker, which caused to tanker to shed a large amount of slurry onto the road. A gas line was also damaged in the incident.
The clean-up will take some time and the road will remain closed for a period. Motorists are asked to avoid the area if at all possible and to expect delays.
