A Mayo man travelled to National Lottery headquarters in Dublin yesterday to claim a cheque for €500,000.

He won the Euromillions Plus prize on 16th February, after buying the lucky ticket at Garryduff XL Store on Pound Road in Castlebar.

The winner told Lottery staff that he plans to use some of the money to buy a house.
